UMATTER ORGANIZATION VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

Thank you for choosing to view our areas where we need Volunteers! We welcome any and all volunteers who are willing to provide thier efforts, talents and time.

UMO Grant Writer:The Grant Writer will be responsible for researching and following the required procedures in order to obtain local and national grants; which will aid the mission of UMO outreach campaigns and business operations. There may be a percentage incentive taken into consideration depending on the complexity of obtaining a grant.

UMO Social Media Specialist: The Social Media Specialist will provide support in promoting UMatter through social media outlets including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc. Increasing the visibility of the organization locally, regionally and nationally is also part of the strategic planning aspect of his role.

UMO Event Coordinator: Event Coordinator will coordinate events to ensure successful execution. Coordination of approved events include managing details of selecting venue, arranging schedule, selecting speakers, entertainment, vendors, menus, securing accommodations, distributing marketing materials, and managing other logistical areas of event management. Event Coordinator will be onsite during events to administer set-up and to troubleshoot issues.

UMO Event Member: The Event Member is a volunteer who will help in any area needed for various fundraising events that will take place. Event Members will be notified within a reasonable time frame prior to an event.

UMO Facilitator: The facilitator is a volunteer who remains on our mailing list for training workshops hosted by UMatter. The facilitator will receive a list of scheduled workshops with topics and can select which workshops/training sessions they are willing and able to successfully execute. Materials and Coursework is provided for all sessions hosted by UMatter. 

UMO Transporter: The Transporters will be a volunteer on-call. They will be contacted when needed. Transporters will pick up (or have their own emergency stock) Love Luggage and deliver it to the home of a foster child in need. Transporters might also be requested to deliver or pick up different items as needed.

Please complete the volunteer registration form and submit it to UMO. Your information will be kept in our volunteer database for reference. You will be contacted via email and/or mail to confirm your availability to volunteer. If you have any questions or comments please contact UMO directly.
