LOVE LUGGAGE PROGRAM

Love Luggage was created to provide essential items for children entering or in the foster care system.

When a child enters foster care, they often come with little to no essential items, such as toothpaste, toothbrush, comb, brush, underwear, socks, shirts, pants, more than 1 pair of shoes, and just everyday necessities.

UMO's Love Luggage Program wants to provide these items to children entering the foster care system in the form of a small luggage ready to take as they head off to their new home.

You can help provide a Love Luggage for a foster child, UMO accepts the items listed below. If you would like to contribute any items, please view the list and use the mailing address for shipping. Contributing to UMO's Love Luggage will help a foster child experience a smoother transition into their new home.

ITEMS WE ACCEPT - MALE AND FEMALE (0-18 YRS):

Luggage: (all sizes)
Suitcases, duffle bags, backpacks or carrying bags, etc.

Clothing: (all sizes)
Long or short sleeve shirts, sweaters, jackets, dresses, shorts, skirts, pants, jeans, baby onesies, socks, underwear ( all undergarments must be unused), etc.

Shoes: (all sizes)
Flip-flop sandals, sneakers, dress shoes, crocks, pool shoes, etc.

Hygiene Items: (all hygiene items must be unused)
Toothbrush, toothpaste, bar soap (or body wash), hair brush (or comb), nail file (and/or nail clippers), deodorant, bubble bath, baby powder, diapers, baby wipes, washcloth, hand towel, lotion (or baby lotion), etc.

Small Toys:
Teddy bear (or stuffed animals), dolls, small cars, dominoes, playing cards, jump ropes, small balls, yo-yo's, marbles, checkers, Etch A Sketch, board games, electronic games, harmonica, recorder, kazoo, or small tambourine, etc.

School Supplies:
Pens, pencils, sharpener, markers, spiral notebooks (or paper), solar calculator, rulers, erasers, coloring books, crayons, books, stickers, etc.

Infant Items:
Car seats, strollers, walkers, (all vehicle/mobile items must be new to comply with current law), highchairs, booster seats, pack-and-play and other similar items.

Other Items:
Wristwatch, hair accessories (clips, barrettes, ribbons, and elastics), costume jewelry, compact umbrella, belts, sun visors, sunglasses, baseball caps (or hats), hangers, etc.

Other Donation Options: to help cover the cost of transportations of the Love Luggage’s to their final destination you are welcome to make a monetary donation as a check or money order. Please make your check payable to UMatter Organization, Inc.
